I'm not sure there is a problem here. You many simply not need to irrigate the plant yet.

Money Tree (either Pachira glabra or P. aquatica), also known as Malabar Chestnut, is an evergreen tree in the Bombax Subfamily (Bombacoideae) of the Mallow Family (Malvaceae).
It is native to riverbanks and flood plains in southern Mexico, Central America and South America (P. glabra is only native to Brazil).

It can take flooded conditions, but it also does well in moist, well-drained soil. Even though good drainage is not strictly necessary, it is a good idea to grow it in a pot with drainage holes to avoid any stagnant or anaerobic conditions that could be more problematic in a container than open ground.
