I wouldn't worry about the temperature now. I'd worry about this winter. There is still plenty of time for the roots to get established before it gets too cold.

what if i cover the trunk of the tree would that help cause we do get in the teen`s sometimes

These trees grow in far south Texas. They will survive a LIGHT FROST but anything colder than that they will suffer severe damage. If it gets into the low 20's it will kill them. Wrapping the trunk might save the tree if it gets into the teens. It all depends on how long it stays cold.
