Hello there! I have watermelons for the first time this year and basically I am wondering the same thing about them as my pumpkins in another thread I posted. My temperatures up here are going to be getting lower very soon. Should I just bring them home? The high can possibly feel 55 in a few day, but herein update NY winter hits in late October! Will my babies mature more inside?

I know you all like pics. I promise to post some today :)

Yes, even more than pumpkins, ripe watermelon should be protected from cold weather.

It's good that they are hanging off the ground, but they still should be harvested now. They won't get any riper on the vine at this stage.
