First Mini Iris Blooming

Many years ago a friend gave me a start of this little Iris. Somehow it survived, multiplied and is the first to bloom each year. Last summer I redid my front yard to accommodate the other varieties of miniature Iris but this is alway the first to show itself.

That is a lovely blue, sometimes what seems like a simple colour can really stand out, I grow salvia patens for that reason.

More mini Iris are starting to bloom. I changed the yard last year and am just now getting to see where everything is planted. I had quite a few different colors and varieties. More to come. Always a surprise when gardening.

I appear to have two different varieties of the same color (different colored beards) I finally have photos of all but one yet unbloomed mini.
