I would like to ask experts about leafs and moving outdoor tree.

I have moved my tree outdoor recently. I trained my tree to spend more time outside. I am leaving the tree outside during night. Summmer season is starting. Temperatures are between 15 C to 35 C in my region.

I can see that leafs are getting brown at the ends and new ones are failing. I don’t know if this is related to quality of water or changing environment of living.

I attach photos.

Could you help me to figure out where the problem is located ?

Thank you

These symptoms could be caused by many different things. Lets start with the simplest. How long has the tree been living in that container? I would surmise that the tree is root bound or has encircling roots would be my first guess and is unable to uptake enough water. My second guess would be the water itself. Is your water softened or chlorinated? My third guess would be plant shock caused by changing the plants environment.

The tree has been living in that container for 1 year. I am going to change the cointainer to bigger one (wider by 4 cm)
Is your water softened or chlorinated?
I has changed water from softened (tap water filtered by ‘brita’) to tap water (+48h) recently.

Softened water has sodium in it. This can cause leaf burn and premature leaf drop. But I think it probably has its roots compacted and thus unable to uptake the correct amount of water.

I would get a larger than 4 cm bigger pot. Before you get another pot take the tree out of its container and inspect the roots.

Leaves and stems turning black on citrus indicates root rot. Have you taken the tree out of the pot? Smelled the soil and looked at the roots? How large is the container and how large is the tree? Pictures would help in order to see the size of the pot in relation to the tree. If it is root rot the roots will be brownish/blackish. Healthy roots are white. The odor of root rot is sort of like ammonia. Healthy soil and roots smell earthy, sort of a peat moss odor.

Hi again

Thank you for your comment.
I have not taken the tree out yet. The containers have 15.7 inch each.
I attach some additional pictures.

That's root rot. Soon the leaves will start to yellow. Change the soil and the pot ASAP. When you change soil wash away ALL of the old soil from the roots
