You're older than me even - so no more advice from me - except go for a walk along the foreshore - the ozone is supposed to be cleaner there. LOL.
Nothing is clean on Hastings beach, it's where Southern Water dump the sewage, because paying fines is cheaper than actually doing the job.

Fond memories of Hastings. Went there on holiday in the late fifties, I saw Mick Mulligan's Jazz Band, at the White Rock Pavilion. George Melly was the band's singer at the time. I didn't go in the sea, mind.

Oh dear. Well, there's nothing else except a good red wine with dinner and brandy for the sore throat. LOL.

My wife came out of hospital in October, where she'd been for eighteen weeks, after a fall injured her back. Because she already had MS, her mobility is very limited, she gets around the house with the help of a walking frame. She needs the stair-lift I had installed for her so she can get upstairs. Consequently, I do the cooking, cleaning, the laundry, the shopping and look after the garden.
I've had to cut my golf games down to once a week, as I don't like leaving her for too long, although I've always got my phone and she has this panic alarm to summon immediate help, if required, (there's a key box on the wall outside, so responders can get into the house if necessary). I'm hoping to get back to playing three times a week soon, as she's getting more confident about being on her own for a few hours. Fortunately, I'm reasonably fit and can cope with it all, I can't afford to be old, otherwise, we'd be in a bit of a mess. I'll be 85 in April.

As we get older, things like muscle weakness or balance issues can creep up unexpectedly. Have you talked to a doctor about it? I’ve been on Ozempic for Type 2 diabetes(which i bought here), and while it’s helped with blood sugar, I did notice some muscle fatigue at first.

About ten days ago We went out for a meal with out daughter and to a show she was in, did a lot more walking than normal and the coming home walked up Villiers St. from Embankment tube to Charring cross and then up the staircase into the emergency side exit from the station, it's a steep stair and halfway up my leg started to fail. It has been hurting ever since, but started to feel better the last couple of days. Today I was planting a row of potatoes and stepped off the bed which is raised about nine inches onto the path. My leg landed on the path and simply failed, crumpled under me and I pitched forward face first. I wasn't hurt, but my head was downhill on the path and it took an age to work myself round into a position I could get to sit up on the edge of the bed and then stand. I'm getting old, my advice, don't do this, stay young.
I'm 60 and it's starting to get harder maintaining 5 acres. In my 40's & 50's I had a planting compulsion not really considering upkeep. One of the worst things is dragging around almost 500 ft of heavy hose for watering. We're building a barndo where our old house stood & Im having them put in "hose stations" around my yard & barn. I think that will help. Also, going to a side by side with a bed from a push cart has definately given me more years to be out in the yard.
