If paleo artists drew modern animals from bones like they do dinosaurs, we might see a different picture, and vice versa, which is an interesting idea.

That's really interesting! There's a park in London where there are old models of what they thought dinosaurs looked like. It's quite interesting to compare with more modern thinking.
