To be honest, I really can't stand Picasso's works.. But hey, here a dirty unmade bed won an art prize

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...displayed-tate-britain-first-time-in-15-years

and a stuffed animal also won a prize

Inside Damien Hirst's macabre 'art' factory: Huge site has its own guards... and building just for pickling dead animals

Sad that Picasso's art has been included in main stream art and every art student has to study it and extol it. It's more like the emperor's new clothes.

@marlingardener 's card actually shows superior skills! LOL!

Hi,

Many thanks for sharing marlingardner; it's a vast improvement on original Picasso's in fact it resembles a snowman (being pc should this now read snowperson? :D).

Well said alp; Bron and I wouldn't have a picasso hanging in our home we both dislike abstracts; perhaps he was one of the first on drugs?

Kind regards, Colin.

Picasso was a much better sculptor than (?)painter. We went to an exhibit of early abstract art, and saw a Picasso sculpture for the first time--fascinating!
I have read that Picasso would sit at a cafe in Paris, make a few lines on a napkin, sign it, and give it away. Then he would laugh himself silly at someone thinking this was "art" because he signed it!

Maybe. But more likely he was in Paris because something tickled below the buckle. Picasso hid a lot of pornography in his work. And then there was Matisse.
