Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion alp; I believe a few years ago our council was giving free compost bins but I think I've done OK in buying four because the offer is buy one get one half price; even if I don't turn the contents at least it will tidy the top corner of the garden.
Fortunately funds are no longer a problem so I can indulge myself quite a bit spending on the garden. I've already done most of the hard heavy work in the garden; one of our neighbours visited us today and he was most impressed by the transformation thus far; I've removed trees and hedges and cut lots of overgrown items well back; it certainly is coming along nicely and I've only just begun. I thought taming our rear garden which resembles a mini park would have taken a couple of years but it's amazing what dedicated hard graft can produce in short time. Once I get the composting sorted out next job will be to track down loads of free wood chips for mulching; I think I'm going to enjoy gardening from now on after all my bones no longer ache.
I nice big petrol chainsaw and petrol hedge trimmer makes a huge difference and I've also got a big Bosch shredder so armed with these and a real passion to succeed the garden has given in at last.
Kind regards, Colin.
