Help with sunflower please x

Hi, my daughter has been growing some sunflowers and looking after them like babies.. but today was told the they would not open. Was wondering what you guys thought, will they and if not why?
I am no help and she just wants to know where she went wrong

How many sunflowers does she have growing?

That one looks diseased. If she has more, what do they look like?

On which side of the house are they planted and how far away from the house? It looks to me like too much water and not enough sun. They need at bare minimum 6 hours.
