Help with some ideas

Hi all I recently bought this house and this area was covered in gravel there is a small concrete slab that I uncovered and the rest is all dirt I been slowly removing all the gravel I was thinking of filling this area with plants and evergreen any suggestions please I live in 7a zone area thanks again
