Hi I have been taking care of a plant since December 2023, however this is my first time doing this and don't know anything about it.

I came here because it is getting pretty bad, a few months ago I think I overwater it for some time and it started growing some fungus. That made the end of the leaves to turn orange and have white dust on the soil, so since then I have been adjusting the watering and trying to keep it on the dryer side.

It was getting better but another plant sprouted around 1 month ago, I decided to let it grow but I don't know if that was a mistake. Since then the plant has gotten worse again and I really don't know what to do next.

I have never use anything other than water to help it. That means no fertilizer or anything else.

Hope you guys can help me out here. Thank you!

Bad news I'm afraid, your plant has kicked the bucket and you may as well get rid of it now. The thing is, you need to know why -if you are going to look after any more plants in the future. Have you got a garden outside where you can plant things? A conifer, which is what that is / was, would be much better off outside in the ground. What is the stuff wrapped around the pot? Did the pot have a hole at the bottom for drainage? If not, and you gave it too much water it would make the roots rot.
