Hello everyone,

I need some help with my succulent, honestly i don't know what to do with it. It is growing upwards forever but I am not sure if I should release it to the ground, or maybe to cut these 2 little branches and put into water until they have roots and plant again. Any ideas? Many thanks!!

I think this is an aeonium, and this is how they grow. You can cut it down, and it will grow more rosettes. If you want to make some new plants, cut off the tips, leave them to dry out for a day, and then plant them in pots with new compost - they will root quite easily. Keep the old plant fairly dry during the winter. The new growth will start in the early spring, and they mostly stay quite dormant through the summer.

This is a very etoliated, shade-grown specimen of x Graptoveria 'Fred Ives'.

It would benefit from more light, but it is vigorous enough to survive in shade.
