Lemon Drizzle Cake and made a christmas cake just out of oven and still it rains.

Aw, no pic? I came here expecting to see a pic It's been very cold and rainy over here as well, when that happens I really feel like baking something nice or making a tasty and warm soup!

That looks delicious Zigs. It's super hot here in Miami, so instead of making hot food, I bought some Heath toffee ice cream for my daughter and we have every fan in the house blowing. I hope we get some rain soon. My plants look thirsty and depressed.

My cousin went to Miami once. He said that they had 2 seasons, hot and hotter! Apparently down there, shorts and sandals are formal wear!

Of course, I have never been there myself and so all I have to offer is stories from those who have, and who knows if they have told the truth?

Lemon drizzle cake is always a great idea! I did my Christmas cake last week too, although I've gone for a chocolate orange fruit cake this year.

Dull and cold here today so stayed in and baked some Hobnobs

They were far too sweet, only going to use a quarter of the sugar next time.

8oz sr flour
8oz sugar wrong
8oz porridge oats
8oz margarine
1tbsp golden syrup
1tbsp hot water
1/2 tsp bic soda
mix flour, oats and sugar, melt marg, syrup and water in a pan stir in bic soda and add to dry mix, mix well, make smallish balls and put on greased tray and flatten slightly with a fork, 180c for 15 mins, cool on the tray, you just want them golden in oven not brown
