Goodbye to my beautiful Iyona.

Today was not a good day. My daughter woke me up to tell me one of our horses was down. When I went to see her she was in distress and breathing irregular. She was an old horse and we knew this day was approaching but it still was a shock. We called several vets to see if we could find one to put her down since ours was in Colorado. The earliest one would come was 5:30pm. We said ok but by noon it was evident she was really suffering. At 1 I got my gun and put her down. That was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Bye sweet girl.

I'm so sorry to hear that @Silentrunning. I can't imagine how hard it must have been to put down your own horse, but you did the right thing.
