With so many truly palatable greenerys to eat I see no reason to consume a grain that has to go through so much processing to be edible.

I actually looked into this not too long ago out of curiosity. It's called a grain, but it's actually a seed...They call it a pseudoceral and is related to spinach.

Personally, I wouldn't eat it on a salad, rather I'd eat it like I do rice, which almost always I mix with other things...but I've yet to try it...

I wonder if you could make rice crispy treats out of it. If you could, I might try it.
