This is what I am seeing from my workroom window these past few days.

It is called a snow cloud and is now nearly 25 years old. She was only supposed to grow to 15 feet. This shot is from my second floor!!

Gives me pleasure and I also get to see the birds eating her berries most of the winter.

When the petals fall, it looks like a snow fall and if it is a windy day looks like flurries. Kinda gives you the jumps when it first happens!

Hi Lori. That tree looks stunning. We have a tall palm tree that shimmers in the wind and is beautiful to watch. Yesterday there were several yellow crested black cockatoos about. They're quite large and noises and wonderful to watch. We get lots of white cockatoos which are very noisy and quite destructive. They chew on wood around windows and the glass can actually fall out and destroy balconies so not popular at times. I haven't had too much trouble so I like them, very cheeky hence the saying being cocky. We also have beautiful king parrots and rosellas and of course kookaburras. I love their laugh. Some we can actually hand feed. So many pleasures.

Lately, nothing has been helping me. I'm going through a really hard time now.
However, I remember when a new miniature rose was enough to make me jump from happiness. Taking care of plants can be very rewarding and relaxing.
Sorry you're going through a rough patch Claudine. There are times in your life when you think you'll never smile again but you do. Hang in there

Thank you! I keep smiling, because I really don't want to be sad, but it's hard, especially during spring, when everyone and everything else seems so cheerful and relaxed.
I spend a lot of time taking care of my plants and I try not to think too much. It helps:)

Being sad is a very hard emotion to deal with. It drains you mentally and physically, and it just all around hurts. I learned that when we garden, we also absorb needed minerals and nutrients from the soil into our bodies and this also helps to make us more happy. I think it also helps that when you are gardening, you are outside breathing in fresh air, which clears your mind from the fog.

I felt much calmer and happy when I worked with my plants. I am actually looking forward to that next year, because I will be living somewhere new and will have a nice new garden at my disposal.

Good luck to you Trellis on hopefully a bigger yard. I can't wait until I am also able to have a bigger yard to plant more in. I get so sad and so excited when I see everyone else's gardens as I have dreams of my own big one someday.
