We are trying to figure out the species of gardenia in our backyard. Can anyone look at the picture attached an help?

It looks as if it could be Gardenia Jasminoides 'Radicans'.

Thanks for the reply, but I should've included that the plants had grown to well over 6ft tall before a recent pruning.

I Got what I think is a Gardenia plant or tree but the description on the tag says shrub so not sure or what kind it is. I'm obviously not giving it the proper care because this is happening to the flower buds.. Any idea what might be happening? Thanks
