Hello,
I have a potted daisy gardenia (I rent an apartment and do not have any access to planting in the ground) and lately have noticed my gardenia is dropping leaves that have brown splotches. The bottom leaves are also turning yellow, but they have been like that since I purchased the plant.
I water it once a week and check to be sure the soil is evenly moist .

Below are photos of the leaves:

What is it trying to tell me? (n)

I am no expert! But the soil seems to be very dry and it might be a good idea to remove some of the lower side shoots which grow inwards. They will pretend proper air circulation.

Have a look here please!

In fact, this whole page might be useful to you. Just might be!
