I have an area underneath some trees that is full shade from Spring to Fall, but then partial to mostly sun in the Winter. Are there any evergreen shrubs that would do well in such an area? I planted some red tip photinias a month ago not realizing it would be full shade now that the trees have foliage so they're not going to make it and I'll have to move them elsewhere. Thanks for the help!

Welcome @Jbraviator

Sounds like a good spot for some colorful azaleas. Mine do well in shade as you describe...very low maintenance but like acidic soil. Another low maintenance shrub I have that does well in shade is the nandina bush. Also, camellias do well in shade.
