Very good question. It is not a good idea to use glass for that matter.
For all the greenhouses out there, I find the SolaRoof greenhouse is the best as it does not use glass. It is double layer but is not filled with air. It makes the entire building to be total transparent. Cooling during day and summer, warming during night and winter - all handled by the solar energy. No, it is not a passive solar greenhouse. It is PROACTIVE and DYNAMIC in handling light and heat intake. Go to https://pyrapod.com/historic-triple-projects-richard-nelson-team-solaroof-1982-91-97-today to watch a video explain what kind of greenhouse it is.
