Nice Spring Weather

Yesss!! Finally!! My tomato plant already beat a Spring and is getting LOADED with tomatoes! Broke the record of tomatoes for me. Now gotta wait 'til they ripen.

Actually sort of nice here in Michigan today. Above freezing, neither snowing or raining, life is good.
The geese have been back for about a month, saw robins last week.

Spring arrived early this year--we've had at least three weeks of springlike weather. Our potatoes, turnips, garlic, onions, and lettuces are thriving.
Our migratory birds are moving on, and the pasture is a verdant green. Spring can be heart-breaking in Texas with high winds, torrential rains or drought (take your pick!), and weeds, weeds, weeds. However, my husband got a mild sunburn while mowing !

I think we're going backwards here with snow promised tonight and tomorrow morning, but that's typical of Spring in Britain.

Same here Sheal, we bounce from warm days to ice and snow and back from March through May.

Your robins migrate??!! What a difference a state makes!! They haven't migrated out of OH in at least ten years, maybe longer. (They used to.)

We have an invasive honeysuckle now. They stay, because of the berries.

Interesting, and sad for the robins in harsh winters.
Yes, ours migrate. Pretty much when the robins start showing up, the northern juncos leave. I feed birds year around so I get to watch the comings and goings.

First day of spring and we saw our first hummingbird of the season! The salvia greggii near the patio attracts them, and there was the hummingbird, just sipping away.
