Hi! My Fatsia Japonica which was doing super well since the day I got it, about 1.5 years ago suddenly went all droopy. It used to droop like this when I'd get late with watering, but after watering, it would perk back up in a day. The last time i left it unwatched for a week and even after watering, it didn't go back. First picture is how it always used to be, the other pictures are current.

The stems seem to have hardened in that drooping position, since when i try to lift them, they seem bent. Is this possible that the stems have just changed their shape forever:( Could there be something else.

1. It has always been outdoors and would get a couple of hours of the sun before sunset. It used to be fine. But do you think the cold weather (im in sydney) caused this? But then it's always been outside. I also brought it indoors for a couple of weeks but no change.

2. Does it need a repot? I recently changed its soil to see if that would help or see if it was rootbound. It looked pretty okay so I repot it back into the same pot. Does it need bigger perhaps?

3. Is it that the dropping leaves are old leaves that are dying?

I can't think of anything else I may have done, its always been so easy to manage sk im really surprised what happened :(

It might seem cold to you in Sydney, but your Fatsia will be quite happy outside. It likes to grow big, and would be happy to be in the ground. For now maybe it would prefer potting on into a bigger pot, but generally all your plants seem very healthy to me. Well done.

By the way, welcome to the forum, it`s good to have you on board (y)
