I checked my plants this morning, and found that an animal dug holes in four of the containers. An animal has also been eating strawberries and damaging that plant. This damage is happening more frequently, and I really need to find a way to protect my plants.

I think the culprit is a squirrel. Are there any nonlethal ways to discourage squirrels from digging in my containers or eating the produce? Thanks.

The only thing we can think of here is a cage made out of metal mesh!! We have had to fence off our crops this year - all the wildlife seems to want to dine on our veggies too
