To be fair, China is such a vast country that it would be difficult to collate all the information to form an accurate assessment of the situation. But their leaders, like those of North Korea are habitual liars, so little importance should be attached to anything they say.

The "parasitic virus" is still spreading.

By this I mean the on-line gambling sites advertising on TV.

With no live sports possible, the "big league" bookmakers must be experiencing a big drop in income. I've read about several Sports organisations donating to the NHS despite their financial problems, but so far no bookmakers.

To make up for their loss of easy income, they seem to targeting those self isolating and watching a lot of TV. Fast-forwarding through the adverts in a film, I noticed a new (to me) one for "Paddy Power Bingo." Another "easy way to lose money on your mobile phone."
