Long time gardener, first time cold framer. Using bricks and a large storm window so I can move it to it's Late fall location. Would painting the bricks back help hold in heat? If so, just the inside or the whole brick? Also will supplement with left over straw from the strawberry bed, moistened t promote composting heat and placed in black plastic bags. Any and all experience on this welcomed. Thanks!

Brick is only about R4 so maybe another layer of brick with dry peat moss in between? A light low e window film on the glass would help reflect heat back inside also.
