Chinese Money Plant with dry, brown, crispy spots

Hi there,

Not for my plant but we're acting as my flatmate's babysitter while he's away. Normally she sits by the window and is fine and healthy. Yesterday we got some quite heavy snowfall and we think because of this she's got sunburnt.

She has dry, brown, crispy spots originating from the centre of the leaves and she's wilting slightly (some of the smaller branches have bent in on themselves).
She has some cuttings which we've planted in smaller pots and they are fine without any damage (and they're baby leaves).

Firstly, is it sunburn? Or is it something else? And secondly what can we do about it?

If it is a one-time occurrence of exceptional sunburn, the plant should recover well.

It sounds like it is otherwise it receiving good care, but to review, a Chinese Money Plant (Pilea peperomioides) should receive bright indirect light, regular water with good drainage, and occasional application of a complete, liquid or granular fertilizer.

Um... thanks everyone but unfortunately she has passed away in the early hours of this morning.

That must have been some sunburn! Perhaps there were other issues. Keep the leafless stem lightly watered, there still might be some life that will resprout. In any case, you still have the plant thanks to the offsets. Pilea peperomiodes does propagated very easily from offsets and cuttings.
