Hi,
I planted a cherry tree in summer 2025, but the tree started losing leaves quite fast afterwards, even though it should have been green at least until September. I assumed it was the transplantation shock, and do not bother it too much other than provide enough water during the warm seasons and fertilizer as well.

Fast forward to today, the main stem is still white/green inside, but all the smaller stems have gone brown. Still no leaves. Are there any chance for the tree to survive, or is it gone for good?

Welcome @torbenaskesan

A couple of observations:
1) Summer is not a good time to transplant trees...especially bare root one
2) fertilizer applied to a transplant is asking for trouble until it has time to get its roots established in the new location.

I'd bet like @Martin Mikulcik said it is probably a goner.
