Camellias blooming

Hi everybody!

It's autumn so... the blooming camellia's time is coming!. I want to show you the first flower from my camellia sasanqua 'Navajo' and I want to invite all of you to show your camellias whether they have bloomed or not (Also I would like see the buds!).

Thank you!. This place is not the best for camellias because of the dry and hot summer but we have a very soft water which helps us, so with the pertinent care in summer you'll have a beautiful camellia.

I add some new pictures of my sasanqua Navajo and also of sasanqua Yuletide who has started blooming recently.

I take the opportunity to ask you about one of my camellias. When I bought it she had no leaves in the bottom of the branches and ,in general, a poor leaves density. In spring the plant only sprouted in the tips on the branches. In the middle of summer the camellia sprouted a few new branches in the bottom of the stem. I would like to ask you if I should prune the plant in the next spring until near of the new branches. Thank you very much!

I would wait to prune unless you get a undesirable branch. It will thin out in the spring and start growing stronger in the summer.
