One gentleman told me that he saw a gardening show that featured continuous blooming lilacs. The bushes were suppose to have lilac flowers from spring to late summer.
What is your opinion about continual blooming lilacs? Is it okay to buy one?

I wouldn't call it continuous. They typically have a full bloom in spring from last year's wood, then they take 4-6 weeks off, then a smaller bloom on new growth. Then maybe a third bloom after another rest period. It is cool to have lilacs flowering more than just in springtime though.

I have a few bloomerangs that I got as 1 gal size starters last year, so I got a little preview of the cycle. They got established nicely last year, and they're cued up for a nice bloom this spring. They seem to like their spot up against the east wall of my house in the back yard.
