I grow Basil in an aquaponics system and we have recently noticed leaves getting brown veins, then turning yellow/white, then developing brown necrotic splotches with the leaves eventually dying totally and falling off (in that order). It started mid plant and is now moving toward the newer growth. There are no spores so we do not think it is Downy Mildew. If you have any ideas please let me know!
Yellow leaves on a basil plant is usually either a sign of over-watering or lack of nutrients... however I have no experience at all with aquaponics! Hopefully someone here will be able to help you though
