I love to read and have visited so many far away lands and enjoyed the visit.

I have been in the trenches with an English private in WWI who was so afraid and rightly so.

Have sailed on tall masted schooners to fight the prates off the barbery coast. a thrilling adventure.

I was on the WWII death march, that and my dads service in WWII in the Pacific has instill a strong dis like of the Japanese and Dug Out Doug.

Have been deep in the jungles with the LARRP's in VN scared even worse than I really was being there. But it helped heal my mind and soul as they had it way worse than I ever did.

I have traveled the road with a poor family during the dust bowl looking for a decent place to settle and endured the hard ships along the way with them. Then came the depression caused by the rich, but effecting the poor people who had a morgage on the farm and lost it. Just heart breaking.

Our local library loans E books, a loan like a real book only last two weeks. But you do not have to remember to return it.

My newest book for the Kindle fire non HD.

Goliath was a very imaginative read. I enjoyed it immensely.

I go through different stages in my reading. For years I devoured science fiction but now it seems the writers are hung up on post apocalyptic themes.

I now am reading historical books regarding Warren County N.C. and in particular the 1800s. My neighbor’s house was built in 1852 and was used extensively during the Civil War.

I also read about horticulture and bonsai extensively. Someone once said that books are the window to the world. Agreed!

Is put on by the kids who are in the Automotive section.

Like to read, but only when waiting for a plane, on the beach under an umbrella, or on a porch on vacation. at home, too much to do to just sit and read, gardens, housework, and working etc.

Your loss. There seems to be plenty of time to read. A good time is those appointments where you have to sit in a waiting room.

I even have my Kindle with me in case I get caught in a traffic jam, due to construction or a wreck.

I don't use kindle, the only time i have wait in a waiting room is when I've gone to the dentist, then it's only a few minutes.
I've got a lot of things that i have and want to do.

Another way to enjoy good books is by using audio books. Since I average 3 to 4 hours a week mowing, it is a perfect time to put on the headset and travel the world.

No waiting rooms here either, knock wood. rarely construction or a wreck.

years ago, was driving to another area for a job, and studying for a test, so had my book open on the seat as I traveled, every chance I got to go over, and over and over pages as I took that hour journey to my job I did. yep, traffic then, and crazy stuff.

BTW, I passed that test with flying colors. It was a 6 hour test, 4 hours first with a hour break then 2 hours later. had to fill out special application with letters and bunch of other stuff added --before-- I was allowed to even be scheduled for that test. Oh yes and 9 months of internship prior.

OK add 3 post to your count to let me know you don't read but posted here never the less.

I am really getting (&*^*_()*()*(&*^&+*(.

Why do you do that crap.

If you want me to leave this forum just say it and stop screwing around .

THE TITLE IS WHAT ARE YOU READDING. It isn't what you do not read.

Come on @trail twister , I hope your not that upset. with your sentence----"if you want me to leave this forum just say it and stop screwing around".

It seems there were two avenues to take with your Thread, either talk about what folks are reading, ----and that seems rather void, or talk about why folks do not read --that later seemed to generate some input. So if we staunchly adhere to your title there would be very few if any responds, which might have also made you feel ignored. But, because we are a creative lot we think outside the box and went for it. Certainly @trail twister none of which was intended as any personal attach to you at all, just how the mind flows I am guess.
