just read where i need 2 trees to bear fruit and it can`t be the same brand well i`ve got to go to the nursery and get another one - how far apart do they need to be ??

About 30 feet if your trees are a standard apple and not a dwarf or semi- dwarf variety. A lot a apples are self pollinating and do not need another tree.

Those which are self-pollinating still tend to do better if they do have a pollinating partner.
