Rain finally stopped long enough to see if G90 sweet corn is ripe. RIPE at 75 days, I thought this is 90 day corn??? Oh well its time to pick ripe corn. 4 of us worked on this project, 1 person picked the ears, 2 of us shucked the ears and cut out bad places, wife blanched ears in 3 pots of boiling water then cut kernels off the cob. Wife put 24 ounces of corn kernels in each zip lock bag, 36 bags of corn from 400 corn plants in the freezer in about 2 ½ hours work. Corn for dinner tonight.

That's a lot of work! I just pick mine, wash, dry and place in ziplock bags and freeze, do you do all that process cause you guys don't eat corn on the cob, or to save room in the freezer?
