The back of our house faces south and opens onto a woodland/wildlife garden with a bog garden and cascade. The front garden is similar and there are fences covered in ivy. The main drawback is insects and, in particular, wasps. The conservatory is also at the back and we are usually plagued by the little bu88ers. Sometimes we have had to get a pest controller out to deal with their nests. I think that this year I have seen about three wasps in total. Is this just as a result of the hot weather.
