One Brussels Sprout plant was pulled to assess condition. It was excellent and very tasty when steam cooked. No insect damage. The white cabbage butterfly was not present this year. The next few days the remainder will b pulled and pressure canned into juice.

Did you have the tops as cabbage?

No tops. The spouts are excellent this year. No bugs which are usually a constant hassle.

Why do you turn all your vegetables into juice @Durgan We really like sprout tops, they make smashing greens.

Juice is my preservation method. Pressure canned juice. It is fool proof and quick compared to all other methods. Canned produce is usually garbage IMO. I have had over 3000 jars of produce and not ONE ever spoiled.

I have several greens, beet, kale so can be choosey.

Seven Brussels sprout plants were processed into six liter jars of juice. Some cucamelons were available so they were added o the pot. About one pound of material is in each liter jar. The sprout were not the highest quality but acceptable.
