Eight Brussels sprouts were purchased and placed in separate containers and grown larger in the greenhouse to establish strong roots. The variety was not apparent. They grow well in my area.

I planted mine this week, cultivar "Brigitte", in the insect net frame I've built. (white fly are harmless, but make the sprouts unappetising.
Had 20 plants, from seed, gave away 9, interplanted with 14 "Greyhound" pointed cabbage, which, if all goes well, will be harvested prior to sprouts filling the space.
Calabrese (Belstar) ready to go in next week, sowed Kale (Emerald Ice) and purple sprouting broccoli (Rudolph) on Thurs/Fri.
Probably sow second batch of "Greyhound" next week, along with pointed red cabbage (Kalibos).
