Three rows of chickpeas were planted 4 inches spacing, rows 18 inches spacing, about 1.5 inches deep.Peas from bulk barn. About 50 in each row.
The rows will be wood chip mulched later. This is my first experience with chickpeas.

Have thought about growing them,......until it gets to the part about shelling. Then 80 cents to a dollar or so for a can sounds just about right.

There are no cultivars worth growing in the UK; yields are very poor.
