IceCold this is a friendly forum for casual conversation about gardening. I have asked you in the past to keep it civil, and instead you have chosen to prove your arrogance and intolerance of other opinions. You are not welcome here.

This is Max, a beautiful old border collie we have inherited from my son who has moved countries. He is an absolute delight. I am talking about the dog but my sons pretty good too. We also got 2 male grey cats in the deal. Sam, atleast 13 years old and Fancy which is short for Fancy Pants because of his pantaloons , apparently a characteristic of Nebulons, the lesser known breed they both attributed to being. Both came from a Lost Cats Home and assumed to be "duds" from the breeders point of view. Lovely natured. And last but not least Pearl, my 5 year old British Blue who has had to learn to share her home with these newbies. Fine with the dog but still a bit testie about the cats. She's slightly obnoxious if I'm honest but I love her dearly. She gallops to me on the garden too Esther and
I know she knows me. Loves a box!. Showing her discontent with Fan y asleep on HER couch

No dogs, but I do have a cat.

Over the years I've also had a Cockatiel, two Green Anoles, two Ball Pythons, and a dog. The bird was nice, but I won't lie, it's nice not hearing tweeting anymore. The lizards and snakes were great, but I realized I prefer to see wild reptiles in nature rather than owning some, and dogs require more attention than I'm willing to give. When it comes down to it, cats are my kind of animal. Easy to care for.

I also have the goldfish in the pond, but I don't really consider them to be pets. Other than feeding them and making sure the water quality is good, they pretty much do their own thing and go about their lives on their own. They're basically as wild as the wild frogs that live out there.
What a beautiful cat JB. I'm partial to a gray cat, 3 at my home.

Deborahjane, there must never be a dull moment at your house! Your comment about your new dog and your son cracked me up. How marvelous that they all get along, most of the time.;)

@darkrebelchild , I had two GSDs in my day. And they are a wonderful breed. But they need lots of room to run, or to be walked at least a mile every day. I used to do 5 miles with them on weekends. They have a saying with them, "always in motion". They need proper training right away. Classes, social exposure, confidence building etc. Both my boys got obedience titles. I hope you have researched the need for what this breed needs. And brushing twice weekly, (they shed) nail trimming. teeth brushing, the right size car.

Max in his inside bed all snuggled up with his teddy. Mind you he is likely to be squashing teddy. Teddy had shorts with braces, socks, boots and a hat, all taken off ever so gently. Max loves a game of Where's Teddy? and he brings outside to his outside bed some times. Teddy has been stitched up a couple of times, all that gnawing has to have some affect but still in pretty good nick for such a loved toy.

I am known as the crazy dog lady of the family! I have three that i absolutely adore and consider to be my fur children. First, I have a 5 1/2 yr old white Boxer girl named Sugar Love. Then, I have a 2 yr old Norfolk Terrier mix boy named Kirby Max. Last but not least, we have a new boy we just rescued from a local shelter. He is a Chug (Chihuahua/Pug mix) and his name is Edgar Allan Pug. We were told he is two years old, but he still acts a lot like a puppy of about 8 or 9 mths old. Here are some pics of my babies! :)

I had two little cats, but sadly only one of them reached adulthood. We live next to fields and a forest so wild animals catching cats or chicken is really a case.
But look at my lovelies, still being babies.

Here are my little pe(s)ts. Nero and Srećko. :)

Nero is an 8 years old Labsky. Mum was a labrador and dad a local husky. We took him in when he was only 4 weeks old, he was born with poor vision and very delicate stomach. He only sees objects directly in front of him. He trips and falls over branches sometimes but other than that he can move almost normally. As for his stomach he vomits when he eats normal portions of food so we have special feeding arrangements. We feed him with a fork while he is sitting up. Yeees I know sounds silly but better lose 10 minutes feeding a dog than hearing him howl in pain for 3 hours.

Srećko(Croatian word for "Happy") is a 2 year old who knows what. He is probably some kind of Croatian sheepdog. A year ago somebody left him in front of our yard beaten up and in very bad shape. We took him in and now he's a new member of our family.
Photo of him 5 months after he got here:

Srećko is a very traumatized dog that considers every "wrong" move an attack on him. It took me almost whole year to adjust him to new life and stop him from seeing every human being as a danger. He's a barker, he barks at everything that moves. Cars, bikes and tractors drive him insane and wants to kill them instantly.
Srećko now:

As for the relationship between Nero and Srećko, well we're getting there. The problem is that Nero is very clumsy and Srećko is very scared dog. So we often get situations where Nero sits on top of Srećko or bumps into him and throws him 10 feet away. Then Srećko starts growing and jumps on Nero, neither of them hurt each other in the process but we do have to separate them for "just in case". Hopefully we'll soon fix that problem too. (y)

What a handsome pair! Must be difficult to manage their issues, but they certainly look happy and healthy :)
