Which vegetable do you have difficulty growing and harvest?

For me it is any kind of peppers.
I used to always plant Bell peppers and they did fine, but in the last few years my peppers seem to not want to grow, they stall and start to produce fruits when the season is about over and non of the fruits reach a level of maturity.
This year I didn't even plant any cause what for?

Any veggies you straggle to grow?

Peppers are hard in the north, make sure they're started early and get lots of full sun and variety matters too, you'll still get a few cayenne when most peppers fail

@Xraycer what makes cilantro hard?

No spray cabbages are hard for me, I've been having bad luck with parsnip germination, but i saved my own seeds this year so I'll know who to blame next year.

Cotton is hard this far north, not really a vegetable. Oh maxima pumpkins give me trouble.

Teff, rice, oats

No spray eggplants

Dryland watermelons are hit and miss

Peas, large bulbed onions

Chicory for some reason won't germinate idk, I'll keep trying

I've never been able to have any cilantro plants thrive. They either slowly diminish or bolt.
I've learned quite a bit about gardening in the last several months, perhaps next try will be more successful.

Cilantro is sensitive to heat and bolts here in northeast Ohio. Probably better as an indoor plant.

Garlic and onions are my nemesis.

I'm in NH. I'll try again in Sept, and see how it goes with the cooler temp.

I never tried cilantro. I hear it's like parsley only lemony, if that's true I wouldn't know what to use it for, I rather stick with parsley.

Other than Cabbage, watermelon and eggplant which I can grow no problem, you name things I've never even considered trying in my garden.

Onion I planted once and it has grows spontaneously since, Garlic does grow but it doesn't look as nice as bought in stores

This year I had one cabbage growing spontaneously when it was still snowing, and it seems to be the only cabbage full of nibs. It looks so bad, that I dedicated that bed to the pests

Cilantro stumped me when in Italy as I was looking for coriander and the former was being sold everywhere ! Until I found they are the same! But I too had trouble with it until some I planted late I discovered under 50cm of snow one year healthy as can be. It was then I found out it does not like the heat.

I love cilantro! I have to disagree with a lemony taste. I don't taste that at all. I find cilantro to have a very distinctive taste.
Interesting fact: many people will find that cilantro taste like soap. So, naturally they find it disgusting. This is due to a gene that some people possess.
I find cilantro taste best fresh and raw. Widely used in Mexican and Asian food.
