One of the downsides to having an almost two-year-old is that he has been systematically destroying my garden. Ripping out sunflowers, bell peppers, destroying my last zucchini...you know, typical toddler behavior. My wild flower bed was absolutely trampled on but I still have 2 pomegranates that are both dormant. Is now a good time to try to transplant them? Or should I wait for the spring when they are active again? Both are about 12” tall and are around 18 months old.

You are correct. Do it now. Make sure that your don't plant them too deep.
