This forum is so helpful, I'm hoping I could get some insight on my poor signet marigolds. They were doing wonderfully for a while - but now they seem to be dying... I'm watering them well, but it has been quite hot here (Los Angeles).

Any thoughts what might be happening to them?

It looks like they are too big for their pots and with the excessive heat you are encountering they are drying out. Put in larger pots and keep moist

They look like they are still in containers or a shallow planter? That could be your problem right there - they need more room. Also watering.
.daily brief watering encourages weak, shallow roots which will kill plants. More infrequent deep watering encourages deep roots which is what you want .

Thanks for the replies! I've increased the watering and dead headed the older ones. The new growth seem to be doing okay.

I should probably find them a bigger container but I didn't expect them to grow as fast as they did!
