I noticed it has a lot seeds and I was interested in trying to grow some, but I wanted to do some research before planting them.

Any ideas on what species this is?

What you are seeing on the tree (yes a windmill palm) right now are flowers not seeds. Give it a week or two and the spikes will be much showier. It will however, take 6-8 months for the seed to ripen. When they start to fall off you can clean off the “flesh” and plant them in regular potting soil and keep them warm and moist for several months and they will begin to sprout. Palms don’t do much of anything fast.;)

Happy gardening
