Hi,
I got this big Codiaeum x Gold Dust Croton about a week ago: https://ibb.co/7zpVZMK
The leaves have been turning yellow (10x day) and recently we found this damage on a couple of them: https://ibb.co/vzJwp5B
Before we got it, it wasn’t watered for a few days “to make it light and easy to transport”. And was transported a few times.
Right now it’s sitting in a bright room with big windows, but no direct sunlight.
Any idea what is wrong? Please help us save it….

Any houseplant will need to get used to moving to a new home. This Croton needs to be kept at a temperature above 10 C and is ideal in the room you have placed it in. There is a danger that you may have over compensated with the watering as it may have dried out a bit before it was moved, and generally it is far better to keep it on the drier side during the winter months. Keep the roots ''just damp'' and it will be fine to let the top of the compost dry. Continue with a normal watering regime in the springtime when the weather warms up.
It looks to me as if a leaf miner has had a go at the leaf you show, but that's not a worry, and will not kill your plant.
