What is this pest and how can I get rid of it

This is eating my cabbage, I don't use any chemicals so if there's a concoction that I can make at home which will get rid of it it would be awesome.

Is it cabbage worm? It's about half inch long and there's tons of them on my cabbages and tomatillos.

They lay green eggs. I picked what I could by hand. Ty

If you want to save your plants and be absolutely safe use a Bt product. Soaps, pepper sprays, garlic sprays and the like don't too much against caterpillars. Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) is a natural bacteria that is harmless to people and pets and can be used up until the time of harvest. And yes it is a species of cabbage worm
