I just noticed that one of the Papaya seedlings has a lump in the stem. None of the other Papaya seedlings has a lump. Does anyone know the cause of this?

I don't know what caused it but papaya's have a hollow stem/trunk. There is no "wood". It just has a liquid type of interior. I would guess that something slightly injured the stem thus making it like an old garden hose with a protruding bubble.

Thank you @Chuck:), i wonder if something could be growing in there? Or maybe it swallowed a tiny mouse. I wonder why i have two identical posts? Maybe because i posted twice?

I have more Papaya seedlings than i need, so i guess i will pull this one up.

I would wait and see what it does It might give birth to a midget mouse.
