Not a bad day :)

This lovely chap had built this entirely from recycled metal :)

I had one of these, a JC Bamford. Sold it for booze though. Chap I sold it to said i'd never have got it working on account of it having the wrong ht lead :dunno:

Looks like an excellent day out! The locomotive built from scrap metal - did it work or was it just a model?

What is it?

It's a petrol engine, used to power almost anything that needs a belt to drive it :) Turnip choppers for animal feed, pumps, generators and so on.

He said it works from compressed air, not fired it up in case something melts :)

Ah, so the steam fair is just about showing off different types of engines?

Those are some pretty cool old vehicles. I think the old fire engine looks really nice. The bicycles are cool too.

Wow, that certainly is impressive! The fact it works that is, not the risk of melting...

All sorts, lots of stalls selling stuff too, rides, fun fair stuff and ferret racing :)
