When I water in something I have planted it is to get the tiny soil particles close to the roots. That's not the case with bulbs, I wouldn't bother watering in, just water if it is very dry.
" Watering in bulbs"??? not sure what you mean. anyway -- for bulbs---mother nature takes care of my 400Thousand bulbs, I pay them no additional mind if first planted, or transplanted. too much other stuff to do.
