again, it depends on the area I plant in. and when I want them to bloom, and what is blooming near them. and the type of tulip I want.

many of these tulips he has shown are for sunny areas and they bloom out later. on my property, with all my trees, I have to focus on very early tulips that will bloom "before" the trees have leaves, those tend to be shorter type, but can be colorful.

have to put on my list. did not plant any extra bulbs this year. we were working on lifting and splitting, and re-planting. probably up to 200Thousand bulbs now.
