If it is a pine I bet it would grow in Alabama. There is probably not a lot of info on Zone. Any authority besides the info on the chalkboard picture?

Treeguy, it was discovered in a "gorge" which is a narrow valley between hills or mountains.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one that eyes play tricks on!:D
